NEW HEADSTONES FOR JAMES GLENN & JOHN HENRY
On Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, the families of James Glenn and John Henry dedicated new tombstones for these two Revolutionary War soldiers. The tombstones of Glenn and Henry had long ago vanished, and so the family ordered new stones. The stone of Margaret Henry, John’s wife, was found several feet from the family plot in some weeds. It was moved back into the family plot prior to the ceremony.
The ceremony was held in St. Clair Cemetery on a hot and humid day. Approximately 30 descendents of Glenn and Henry appeared-some from as far away as Florida, Montana, New York and Georgia.
Boy Scout Troop #22 presented colors, Rev. Robert Maravalli of the Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church delivered a short sermon, and wreaths were laid on the graves by the DAR Augustin Clayton Chapter, SAR Marquis de Lafayette Chapter, Pittsburgh Chapter PSSAR, the William Wallace Chapter DARSAR Ladies Auxiliary of the Marquis de Lafayette Chapter, Glenn descendants, Henry descendants, the Hilf Family, Historical Society of Mount Lebanon, Carnegie Historical Society, Eldredge Family and Williams Family. The ceremony closed with a 21-gun Salute by the McMurray VFW.
Ann Simmons Eldredge, fourth-great granddaughter of Henry and Glenn, organized the event and presented a family history. 
A bagpipe player played Amazing Grace at the ceremony’s start. 
JJ Bartley, fourth great grandson of Glenn and Henry came from Montana.
